Eryone Sparkly Blue PLA Filament Review

Eryone have brought out a few new filaments recently, that being Steampunk Rainbow, Lagoonbow Rainbow, Marble and a sparkly variety! This article will be a short review of the Eryone Sparkly Blue filament.

What do we get?

Eryone blue glitterThe packaging for Eryone Sparkly Blue PLA is just your average brown cardboard box and with previous Eryone filaments, they have been packaged in their own branded packaging. I guess it could be an expense that isn’t really needed and which is why the use plain packaging. As you can see the filament is vacuum packed and contained within is your desiccant packet.

Let’s get printing!

I have used Simplify3D to slice these models and have a new installed Microswiss All Metal Hotend on my Ender 3, I have used the temperature in the range between 205-215. Here we have the Nutella Wine Glass. A great first layer for me and a consistent print throughout. This took approximately 16 hours to completely print. and there was slight stringing from the Eryone Sparkly Blue PLA but this is more than likely my settings rather than the filament.

Once this had printed, I found that the filament wasn’t really sparkly but more of a metallic color. It has flecks within the filament to give the effect of it being sparkly. My next print with the Eryone Sparkly Blue PLA was a soap dish that turned out much better! The light probably helps with the sparkle and I did print this at a higher temperature, 220-225 but perhaps it needs the higher temp to show its potential! I did find that I had some gaps whilst this was printing, hence increasing the temperature.

Where can I buy Eryone Sparkly Blue PLA?

You can buy Eryone’s filament from Amazon with a not so bad price and also via their site! Other colors are available too of which are the following: Sparkly Silver, Sparkly Purple, Sparkly Blue
