3D Printer Machine Speed

Like many of Tevoup’s other printers, the Hydra has a print speed of around 60 mm/s–150 mm/s. This speed is great for completing projects in a timely manner or if you sell 3D printed models. The Hydra completes prints in a short time compared to other printers of the same category.

Machine Build Volume

Featuring a 305305400mm build volume, I consider the Hydra a large format 3D Printer, allowing you to make bigger and better projects.

Heat Bed And Nozzle Heat Uptime

The nozzle heats up to 240°C in less than 2 minutes and the heat bed heats up to 120°C within 3 minutes. Nobody likes waiting ten minutes for the bed to heat up, it is really nice when the bed heats up within 3 minutes letting you start prints quickly in the morning before you go to work or school.

Safety Protection Power Supply

A somewhat rare but annoying issue is your 3D print failing because of a power outage. Not to worry because the Hydra 3D Printer has a built-in power-off protection system allowing you to resume a print after a power outage or mechanical failure. The small things like this are what make 3D printers good.

Probe Sensor Auto-Leveling On The Tevoup Hydra

Thanks to the 3Dtouch probe sensor, the Hydra has auto bed leveling. The TevoUp Hydra uses mesh bed leveling software to compensate for an unlevel 3D print surface and any imperfections of your print surface, giving you the perfect first layer every time with little to no effort.

Silent Machine Operation

A lot of tinkers like me have their 3D printers at home and noise level is important to them. Lucky for us, the Tevoup Hydra is equipped with an upgraded TMC2209/2226 ultra-mute stepper motor driver chip. This chip gives us silent motors and no end-stop switches. This allows everything to be designed into the board, allowing for no heat sinks or fans for your mainboard, which means even quieter operation.

Filament Runout Detection

One of the most annoying things that can cause your 3D print to fail is running out of filament. Fortunately, the Tevoup Hydra 3D Printer has a filament run-out sensor to solve this problem. For those of you who don’t know what a filament run-out sensor is, it is a sensor that can detect when the 3D Printer runs out of filament. Then It will tell the printer to pause the print. Finally, when you load more filament the 3D printer will automatically resume the print or you will need to manually press resume.

User-friendly Color LCD Screen

The Hydra is equipped with a 2.8″, 240320 LCD touch screen with 65.000 colors. This screen allows the user to quickly scroll through the menus on the printer. Also with the high-resolution screen, the Hydra can preview your model so you know exactly what you are 3D printing.

Fast Assembly

When you get a new 3D printer you want to get it out of the box and printing as fast as possible, you get can’t wait. With the Hydra, the assembly is made easy with just 4 screws allowing you to assemble the machine within 4 minutes.

Wide Compatibility

TevoUp Hydra is fully compatible with a wide range of many types of materials like PLA, ABS, Flexible PLA, HIPS, WOOD, PVA, etc.

What Can The Hydra Laser Engrave?

The Hydra 2-in-1 3D printer can engrave MDF, balsa, paper, wood, fabric, plastic, leather, plywood, foam paper, anodized aluminum, and more. But I will put some of these to the test!

Laser Power Of The Hydra FDM 3D Printer

You have an option between a 2.5-watt laser or a 5-watt laser. Both are powerful options allowing you to engrave a variety of materials. The 2.5w laser comes in at $99.00, while they price the 5w laser at $129.99. Having the 5w laser it will allow you to engrave a larger variety of materials than the 2.5w laser, also you will be able to engrave faster.
