With recent success on the Elegoo Mars, Elegoo has now produced an updated version called the Elegoo Mars Pro. Read on to see more about this advanced resin printer and its features!
Design
The Elegoo Mars Pro has pretty much the same design as its predecessor, albeit with a few changes. The USB port has been moved from the back of the machine to the front. This makes it so much easier to load your prints. There is a linear rail added for smoother action and precision. The LCD has been upgraded to a more powerful screen, however, still with the same resolution as the previous Elegoo Mars. The addition of a carbon filter helps to reduce fumes from inside the chamber as well as a rubber gasket to seal the bottom of the chamber. The build plate has been changed to a textured one to help with adhesion of prints too.

Print Time and Software
The Elegoo Mars Pro printing time depends on the height of the model, so the higher it is, the longer it will take. You can have as many models as you like that would fit on the build plate, yet it will still receive the same time as one. The reason for this is because the layers cure at each level overall, regardless of how much is on there.
With the addition of the ChituBox slicing software compatibility, this adds to the printer’s value. The ChituBox slicing software offers a straightforward and clean user interface while retaining its excellent slicing technique.
You can hollow out your 3D model before sending your file to the printer. As a result, this reduces the resin used meaning you useless! Currently, this software is one of the best in the market. Besides, an outstanding feature of ChituBox is its extremely fast slicing speed, which translates to a tenfold times speed of any other open-source slicing software.
Price
Being slightly more expensive than before, the Elegoo Mars Pro is estimated to cost around $299. It is currently listed on Amazon.com however, is not yet available. It is rumoured that the release could be within the next week or so, or at some point in February.

Conclusion
To sum up, the Elegoo Mars Pro is a worthwhile investment. Its predecessor manages fine prints, so we can only hope that the Elegoo Mars Pro would produce even greater prints! Besides, being at an extremely affordable price too, it makes this worthwhile for even the most basic of users. If you have one, please let us know your thoughts!
