Despite its release in 2022, FLSun V400 Delta 3D printer still remains relatively new to the 3D printing industry. The V400 Delta is designed to deliver ultra-high definition 3D prints with accuracy and speed, as well as being cost-effective. It is capable of 3D printing large objects quickly and with high quality, making it a great choice for those who need a 3D printer that can handle larger projects. There is no doubt that a lot of people wonder what the V400 stands for, but it refers to the speed at which the printing is done. I assure you that you did hear that correctly. According to the company, the Delta 3D printer is capable of printing at a speed of 400 mm/s, which is almost 200 mm/s faster than its predecessor.
This means that it can 3D print large objects in a fraction of the time it used to take. By increasing the speed of the V400 Delta 3D printer, FLSun has improved its efficiency and productivity, allowing customers to save time and money on their 3D printing needs. Furthermore, the higher speed allows for larger objects to be 3D printed in a shorter amount of time, making it an ideal choice for businesses that require high-volume and high-speed printing.
Now that you know about the speed of this Delta 3D printer, let’s look at some more facts about the FLSun V400 Delta 3D printer and the features that it offers. Getting ready, we’re going on a thrilling ride with speed. As we get ready to take off with the V400 3D printer that loves to go fast. The adrenaline rush is setting in as we anticipate the excitement of the 3D printing journey.

FLSun V400 Delta 3D Printer Features
Dual Drive Direct Extruder
Since the FLSun V400 offers a very high print speed it is important for the extruder to be up to the task. As per the manufacturer’s claim, the FLSun V400 Delta 3D printer is fitted with a direct dual-drive extruder which is flexible and fully supports printing at higher speeds. Furthermore, the V400’s direct extruder can reach temperatures up to 300 °C. Therefore, the printer is ideal for printing high-temperature materials like nylon and polycarbonate. Some reviewers and users of the v400 Delta 3D printer claim that the spring steel print bed with textured PEI surface does not prove to be very reliable when working at higher temperatures. This has not been confirmed by me as of yet, so I am unable to confirm it.
Build Volume
Among the 3D printers available in the market today, the v400 Delta is one of the most generous in terms of the build volume, offering 300 x 410 mm. In the case of Delta 3D printers, the Z-axis is one of the features that does offer you a considerable amount of design freedom. In spite of this, you do receive a very large build volume with the V400.
Klipper Firmware: FLSun V400 Outstanding Feature
The FLSun V400 Delta 3D printer comes with pre-installed Klipper firmware. This is one of the best features on offer by FLSun. Klipper firmware is one of the most advanced firmware available in the market. This firmware also speeds up the processing and ultimately the printing speed. Klipper adds a dedicated computer for handling the functions of printing, subsequently removing the added load on the 3D printer’s direct control board. However, this makes the system heavier than other set-ups.
No More Guide Rails?
The V400 Delta uses carbon fiber for its arms that support the print head in order to further reduce the weight of the v400 when it is moving. With the use of Carbon Fiber, a high-strength, ultra-lightweight material, even more weight can be eliminated from the print head in comparison with the already lightweight units. 3D printing at high speeds becomes less likely to produce artifacts as there is less mass to move around.
The Super Racer used block linear rail, however, the FLSun V400 uses three grooved bearings that ride on two linear guides per axis for movement of the arms. FLSun in one of its blogs claims that they have moved away from the heavy guide rail scheme to accommodate for the faster printing speed. Also, the linear guides are secured properly to ensure that the height of the printer does not affect the stability during printing. Furthermore, the material of the guide is also lightweight for better structure strength.
Pei Coated Spring Steel Print Bed
A detachable PEI Spring Steel Platform allows you to print the first layer of the 3D model with a more solid adhesion, but still be able to easily remove the model after printing.
7-Inch Touchscreen: Gateway To The Speeder
If you are wondering what is the speeder in the FLSun V400 Delta then it is the 7 inch touchscreen. That is connected to 1GB DDR4 memory and 16 GB eMMC (storage). The speeder can also be controlled via wi-fi for remote control of the printer using the extremely appealing Mainsail UI which enables you to control your printer via your web browser from a distance. Reviews from the initial users have shown that the speeder has a very fast response time and is easy to use thanks to its accurate control system and highly responsive buttons. It has an excellent 1024 x 600 resolution, an extremely responsive IPS screen, with a well-organized menu system.
Material Response
The V400 is designed to work well with a variety of materials. And in our experience, when working with PLA and PETG-type standard materials we did not face much of an issue. However, for high-temperature materials, we observed that the bed adhesion did not prove to be very reliable. So, poor adhesion at high temperatures is one of the issues that the manufacturers will have to see and resolve.
TMC 2226 Stepper Drivers
The FLSun V400 has also been equipped with TMC 2226 silent stepper drivers. With TMC 2226 silent stepper drivers, the FLSun V400 can print in a very quiet manner. Our observations during the printing process showed that the maximum sound reached was 50-60 decibels at maximum volume.
Filament Runout Sensor
There is a filament runout sensor included with the V400 3D printer, which will stop the print function if the filament is about to run out. The only drawback of the filament runout sensor is the fact that there is no bleep to let you know that the print has stopped once it runs out of filament. The print head parks away from the 3D model to the front of the V400 for you to change the 3D printer filament more easily.
Leveling Algorithm
It allows the user to easily solve the first layer problem through the use of a self-developed leveling algorithm by compensating machining errors at 25 points.
Speed
There are two advantages to the FLSun V400 3D printer: the speed is 400mm/s and the speed of acceleration is 8000mm/s, 400% faster than the current industry standard, saving 70% of the printer’s printing time.
Is The FLSun V400 Delta 3D Printer Worth it?
In this category of 3D printers, the FLSun V400 is priced at a relatively higher portion on the market, with an average price of $899.00. If you click on this link, you will be able to find this 3D printer on Amazon. While the v400 is a pricey 3D printer, it does come with some pretty attractive hardware, a generous build volume of 300 x 410 mm, and at least one core feature that makes it unique compared to other 3D printers on the market today. It is, of course, the Klipper firmware that is pre-installed on the device, which allows the device to take advantage of all the benefits that are offered by this popular firmware without the need to install it.
This includes both the “Speeder” 7-inch touchscreen and the Mainsail web interface, as well as attractive and user-friendly interfaces for both devices. There is no doubt that this system is a pleasure to use and it feels premium from start to finish.
There will be more information added in this section to answer the question if THE FLSUN V400 DELTA 3D PRINTER IS WORTH IT, I will keep you posted. The STL files that have been preloaded onto the USB card have all been 3D printed and tested so far I was extremely pleased with how well the profile worked. But it is now time to make the S3D profile up and see how it will be able to handle it and see how it will react to it. If you would like to buy directly from FLsun website here is the link.
Featured 3D Prints
The review process will be conducted by using a number of 3D models that have been generously shared with the 3D printing community. These models will be uploaded as soon as they have been chosen – fingers crossed that we get successful 3D prints. In case you like what you see, here is a list of who designed them and where you can find them to 3D print yourself. If you wish to do so. As far as the filaments are concerned, we will be using a mix of branded filaments from Eryone, 3D Tomorrow, and Creality.
