Before we start, I want to state that I asked Yang from HE3D many of times if they wanted a full review or feedback on their K280 3D printer. So for there feedback, I would have given them all information for improvements, modifications, this would have never gone to the public. A full review will mention everything concerning the printer from problems, fixes, and the solution’s to the public.
But HE3D didn’t want the feedback, and they required the review. Some people will think I’m picky about this review, but this is what I do, I’m strict when reviewing electronics. You pay money to get a 3D printer that works and has all the accessories needed! There are a lot more problems with this printer, but it will take to long to write them out. I want to show a few wrong things and how the company spoke to me.
I don’t think K280 printer is bad!, “why don’t you post something good?” I hope the printer can have a good selling, so I send the printer to your team I believe your team and your experience, You can add some improvement about this printer in the review it is Ok, If you just put something bad in the review, my boss will fire me” HMM.
Since we spent time to find you and send you this printer, because we know it is a good printer and want to promote it, so if you insist to give it bad review, you’d better not do it.
Please ship it to another person or we will contact with the express to pick up it, we will send you another assembled one but you can’t give a good review, we loss the printer, not in order to get a bad review so please send it to other person you don’t need to pay the shipping cost
The entire frame is made of 2020 aluminium profiles and moulded plastic corners! I remind you that the printer is 1 meter and 12 centimetres tall, you touch the frame at the top. The printer is twisted as if everything was made of paper, and if you tighten the screws too hard, you pierce the corners in the plastic.
A printer that high can look pretty nice on paper, but in fact, it will be challenging to make the presidency, it’s just right to make significant parts when your most robust printers can not go up to 600mm. Typical, I don’t finish the construction, but it’s normal then on a lengthy 2020 aluminium rod, there was wobbling about the frame shaking, yes, it has this problem, we are redesigning this printer to widen the frame, but this won’t affect the printing much, please have a try
The LCD screen and Heated Bed
The 3D printer is out of order total, and I try to mount the heated bed and the LCD screen the plastic holder for the LCD screen did not fit at all when I switched it on it short-circuited. This happens because the row of soldering It was about less than 1mm from the build plate … it’s nearly impossible to avoid the soldered contact on the LCD screen from touching the heated bed which made sparks and smoke since then the screen doesn’t work. I have many other problems too that I fixed, but without the screen, I can’t review the printer at all.
I will design and print a holder box to avoid screw the screen on the frame after that. You provide a too big screen to fit inside the hotbed. I have to use my black M3 screws. It’s tiny things, like too short screws for the hotbed, not proper size screws for the hotbed, but it’s a pain for someone who buys his first printer.
we can ship the new mainboard to you of course, we think you can try to buy a new one. it could save time too. and when you finished the review, and it basically meets our requirement, then, we could pay for the mainboard price. if you are agreeing to make a good review, we can send you a new mainboard surely, that is no problem

we have sold this printer many many pieces,even there is one customer to buy six pieces one time,which proves the printer has no problem at all,matching with its low price,as for the one to you can’t work,maybe an haphazard so please send it to the other customer,we will send you another printer,if you don’t want to do it,we can also stop the cooperation
And once again, I CAN’T send the printer to the other person! I will no spend more hours on disassemble the printer, buy package and foam, pay a delivery service, loose the personal spare parts I pout inside that printer… Listen, I will buy myself a motherboard because you don’t want to send that 10$ motherboard… And at the same time I will have better motherboard and far better stepper drivers because yours is outdated …. have a big printer like that without at least a TMC2100, it’s a significant error … And I will make you a useful review, and will not speak about the accident and the personal motherboard issue.
Yang, what you don’t realise, is the fact that the printer was already assembled, wired, I used my stock screws, I put the box in the garbage. My problem DON’T come from the accident with the screen, but from the assembly, this printer can’t be assembled as we receive them, or it will work not good, but you are focused on a GOOD review, and nothing more.
In my opinion, listening to my feedback about the problems is more important for you, because maybe I will make a useful review on the print, but not so good on the assembly, but IT’S THE TRUTH! I will certainly not lie about the construction just because you ask it, And you can send the printer to anybody, if the assembly is not optimal, he will give a not useful review for the assembly part

In the end, I gave up on this printer with all the problems that kept appearing, it was just one thing after another, spending my own money to pay for parts to get it half sorted. Won’t be dealing with them again. Customer support is appalling, as for the 3D printer I DON’T RECOMMEND.
