Resin Printers come in all different shapes and sizes. Here we look at the latest Kickstarter from 123Dimensions – Space 3D Resin Printer.
Being marketed as the most affordable 10.1″ SLA printer available, with their Kickstarter campaign thundering past its goal already, I’m sure to say this Space 3D resin printer will impress.
SPACE 3D Resin Printer
With a build volume of 215*135*200mm, 40 mm/h Print Speed and a 2K 10.1” touch Screen boasting 2560*1600 High Resolution it claims to be very easy to use. 123Dimension is certainly ticking all the right boxes.
123Dimension is so confident in their printer that they already have a Facebook group for users who brought the Space 3D last time around. This means that if there is any difficulty in the setup or use of the machine, help can be found with ease.
Obligatory demonstration video
Here you can find a time-lapse video of the printer in action! I think its a new demonstration file and hope it comes with the unit. With the first batch looking to ship from Feb 2020, 123Dimensions have their hand’s full meeting that deadline. With the Kickstarter ending on the 18th of January and Chinese new year on January 25th, this means a whole week of work; time will be lost to celebrations. However, they remain optimistic that the deadline to ship the Space 3D Resin Printer is realistic.
If you’ve never printed with a resin printer before, it is indeed a new learning curve compared to FDM printers. However, with the quality and precision of resin prints, it’s something worth looking into! I can’t wait to see if I can get my hands on a unit to test. I wish them every success with their Kickstarter.
