Today’s review I will show of 3D prints on the Spidermaker Matte PLA filament in the colours of Emerald Green and Jujube Red. Most of the files that will be used are from Thingiverse.
Upgrade your PLA printing with a matte finish filament. 3D printing is incredible, but standard PLA can make your prints look like plastic! Matte finish PLA from SpiderMaker takes 3D printing to the next level of aesthetics and quality with great looking matte texture and gorgeous colors. This PLA also enjoys the same impressive properties of PLA, such as low odor.
SpiderMaker’s manufacturing processes uses certified premium materials, free of flaws and contaminants. Ensuring you not only get significant results print after print, but your creations are safe for you and the environment. They utilizes laser measurement technology for diameter control to ensure filament precision for smooth 3D printing.
Be sure to keep the Spidermaker filament coiled tightly on the spool in order to avoid tangles/binding.
Spidermaker Matte PLA Colour Range
With PLA filament it’s like shooting fish in a barrel, there are 100s and 100s of options. Even without the specialist filaments such as the wood and marble PLA’s. So for the Taiwanese firm Spidermaker to get their PLA to stand out from the crowd, they did something different. Spidermaker has taken the PLA filament colour chart and thrown it out. Coming up with their own range of Matte PLA in the following colours:
Coal Black | Paper White | Dark Slate Gray |
Jujube Red ✔ | Coral Red | Brick Red |
Sun Orange | Cheese Yellow | Peacock Green |

Spidermaker Matte PLA Spool Holder
Coming in a cardboard box, the spool itself is clear plastic made of PS (polystyrene), making it easy to see how much is left on the filament reel. Sealed packaging with moisture absorber ensures excellent humidity control, preventing aging or degradation of the filament. The exterior case also serves as a spool holder for the Spidermaker filament. This way, it ensures you great 3D printing performance every time, I can only use it for 700 grams or less of filament.
Also, SpiderMaker have made their own filament ruler for 700 grams and spool holder accessories.
Spidermaker Matte PLA Emerald Green 3D Prints
I have chosen the Biqu B1 3D printer and the Twotree Bluer Plus 3D printer to test out the Spidermaker Emerald Green filament. Therefor u will see I love to print cool / funny 3D models but always starting with a simple vase to see how the filament is before doing anything else. In addition, all 3D prints came out beautiful pictures don’t do the filament justice.

Spidermaker Matte PLA Jujube Red 3D Prints
Carl Knight has chosen the Creality Cr10S PRO 3D Printer to test out the Spidermaker Jujube Red Filament. He didn’t print a lot with the filament because the Carnage 3D model used up most of it.

How Spidermaker Filament Performs
When it comes to post processing, you will save time because of the precious features are almost similarly to ABS. Spidermaker matte PLA is simple to sand, carve and cut nicely to achieve great finishes. Because of its physical softness the supports are easily removable, but it is also down to your slicer settings. With my S3D settings it comes off perfect, even kids can take them off without fear of injuring themselves. Also, if you have sanded a section you didn’t mean to, you can heat it using a heat gun and this will help to restore it back to the original Spidermaker matte PLA colour.

Spidermaker Matte PLA Conclusion
A matte finish helps your 3D prints to stand out with rich textures that will gloss over the way standard PLA reflects light. Even helps to make those layer lines less visible. In addition, the visual effect is striking enough, but with its matte finish, the Spidermaker Jujube Red and Emerald Green both look and feel fantastic. Thanks to these elements, Spidermaker Matte PLA offers you a much more polished finished product.
