  • Build Size

If you think the 220 mm x 220 mm x 300 mm build volume offered by the Ender 5 was big enough then you are mistaken. The Creality Ender 5 Plus has incredibly increased the build volume of the prints to 350 mm x 350 mm x 400 mm (that’s some size). And not only is the print volume significant, but the outside measurements of the printer are also formidable. Therefore, the printer measures 632 mm x 666 mm x 619 mm. As a result, you must free up some space on your workbench.

  • The Stability and Axes of the Printer

The Z-axis of the printer is not only humungous, but it also has a vital role in the printing functions. The Creality Ender 5 Plus uses a Gantry design where the print head is arranged at the top of the printer. As a result, the printer bed lowers itself through the Z-axis while the printing function is on. All the axes have dedicated stepper motors. The Y-axis’ motor drives both the belts at the same time.

As a result, the printing function is much smoother and the final products of high quality. Furthermore, the Z-axes are mounted in the middle of the bed, supported with large 8-mm rods for stabilization. Thus, the stability of the printer during the print function is immensely increased. One of the major issues with Fused Filament Fabrication printers is the vibrations observed on the Z-axis. However, the Creality Ender 5 Plus tries to eradicate this issue by providing four support rods.

  • Print Quality

Once it is certain that the stability issues have been minimized, the print quality is going to increase. Likewise, four smooth rods – on each corner of the bed – provides a guide for the bed’s travel. As a result, you can get more coherent layers, and the print quality is increased manifolds.

  • Bed Leveling

Although it is challenging to find Auto-leveling in Ender printers, however, the Creality Ender 5 Plus features Antclabs’ contact-triggered BLTouch proximity sensors. These sensors assist you in the bed levelling process by physically measuring the bed. The Marlin-Firmware is capable of compensating for uneven spots.

  • Motherboard and Other features

Like most of the printers now, the Creality Ender 5 Plus features the Filament runout sensor and print resume function. Also, the printer contains a V2.2 mainboard. Although the mainboard is not the best in the market, however, it is a perfect option for the price it is being offered at.

  • Price

The Creality Ender 5 Plus is being offered at $569.00 at the Creality official store. This is a very competitive price, and the printer is giving a very tough time to its competitors.

Conclusion

Summing up, the Creality Ender 5 Plus is a well-balanced printer and is being offered at a fair price. But there are a few issues with the amount of effort that you need to put into level the bed. However, with the pace at which Creality makes improvements in its designs, we can expect the company to improve the printer further, it is a great cheap 3D Printer.
